All are welcome. Breathe creativity into your life while improving English communication skills. We especially invite those people who think that they CAN’T paint or CAN’T speak English well. We’ll dispel this myth together!

Our specialized approach activates the right brain hemisphere and opens imaginative-emotional perception. The technique is important both for painting and learning foreign languages.

Set against a backdrop of serenity and love, the seminar will take place in one of the most amazing location of the Earth – on Lake Como in Northern Italy.

Time of classes: classes are combined with rest and excursions

Accommodation:  yoga-camping Omnia town, consisting of tent-houses for 2 persons, located on the mountain above the picturesque lake Como and built on the territory of the private ownership. We can send you more pictures on request.

The programme can be changed according to our preferences. For those who want it is possible to organize an individual tour to Venice.

Price:

800 Euros (if deposit of 500 Euros is paid by 29^th February)

900 Euros after 29^th February (if there are places left)

The price includes:

• Accommodation (tent-houses for 2 people each)
• 3 vegetarian (only without meat but with fish and seafood) meals a day (except for days of excursions)
• Group transfer from the airport to the camping and back (only if you arrive and leave together with the group)
• 3 excursions (Thermal spa “Bormio”, ancient town Varenna and villa Carlotta)
• Seminar (including all the necessary materials for painting) and organizational costs

You pay ADDITIONALLY for:

• Plane tickets (200-300 Euros for a return ticket from St. Petersburg) are purchased separately. The organizers can help you with booking and acquiring of the tickets.

We understand how difficult it may be to come and start speaking straightaway when you haven't had any practice for a very long time or never had any practice at all.

Language Doctor  meetings are specially made to help you to revise  what you know and know what you haven’t learned. Come and make your first step towards fluent speaking.

The basic course consists of 8 meetings

Why it is important?

Have you ever tried to understand why you can’t speak English? Have you analyzed what makes you silent and frustrated when it’s time to speak? Do you know who built that notorious “language barrier” that you are to overcome, yet you are too frightened even to try?

These questions are essential for everyone who would love to stop stammering and start speaking. And we know the answer: lack of confidence. It started one day when you were too shy to ask your teacher, then it grew worse and worse and know you’re certain that nobody has ever spoken English as badly as you. That’s not true. Just come and try to get your questions answered and problems solved.   

What are the meetings like?

In the beginning there is a short introduction of the topic and a suitable grammar construction. Then there are specially designed Grammar games and task-based activities aimed to cover the topic that was presented in the beginning. Then there is a discussion in pairs or trios with use of specially prepared vocabulary and speaking tasks which is accompanied by comments and help of the moderator.

Senior teacher  and deputy director of the Linguistic Center (Institute of Foreign Languages branch), moderator and leader of basic and special educational programmes, translator and chief editor of the English version of “Svetsky Saint Petersburg” magazine 

What is expected impact?

To start with, you will feel much more confident than before. Your speech will be more accurate, yet it may become less fluent for some period. This is normal stage of any educational process. You will be able to hear your peer’s mistakes and will start to hear your mistakes, so in some time you’ll correct them yourself.   Moreover, you’ll get some basic and extra Grammar knowledge, feel happy and language-shaped that’s really important for further developing your speaking skills.

When and what time are the meetings held?

Every Monday and Wednesday from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

3000 rubles for 8 classes (2 times a week + 2 bonus classes) if you register by 30^th January

There is a guest speaker at this meeting. Amos Chapple worked as a travel photographer for the past ten years, with five of those spent working for a UNESCO project to photograph the organization's world heritage sites. He is now contracted to Lonely Planet Images.

We all have friends, relatives, colleagues occasionally visiting us here in St.Petersburg.

What do you usually do when they come? Do you show them around? Do you take them to the city's most famous museums?

If you answered YES to these questions – this course is FOR YOU

During the course you will be given information about the city's major sights. I will show you the most interesting routes which will allow you to show a lot of things in a short period of time. You will be given lots of tips about how to guide people in the city and the main museums

Before the tour you will be given some vocabulary and tips (sent to you by e-mail one week before the class)

After the tour we may go to a cafe where we will be able to continue our discussion, I will answer questions and you will be able to make additional notes

What is the tour for? – It will considerably expand your vocabulary and speaking skills. Besides that it will expand your knowledge of history and culture in general

Who is it made by? – The course is made by a professional tour-guide specially for the club members and the club's friends

How much does it cost? – 500 rubles for the tour (+ tickets to the museum)

The number of places is limited

We are happy to announce the beginning of Toastmasters programme that is made specially to help you to improve your speaking, presentation and leadership skills.
